We're squeaking this one in as the hump day post of our sub $1500 week because where it stands right now, it it is indeed under $1500, although it will likely sell for more. A lot of our gang had interest in that watch, but the 24-hour dial of the Cosmonaute put off more than a few prospective buyers. So we've tracked down another late 60's Breitling, this time a Navitimer, which means its on a 12 hour scale like normal, and it even features the rare Valjoux 7736 movement instead of the Venus you typically find in these watches. What also makes this special is that the sub-dials of this Navitimer are black, just like the very first iteration of the model years before. It is commonly held that no black on black Navitimers were produced this late, but just like with vintage replica breitling Bentley 6.75 anything's possible. So this is already a great watch, but we haven't even gotten to the really good part yet, the part that makes us WANT this thing. This Navitimer was issued to the Iraqi Air Force, and features their insignia on the case back.
